2 1/2 weeks to go!

Stan, Baby & me have been thoroughly showered - and have enjoyed putting everything away in the baby's room. Tonight's task is to install the car seat and finish packing our little bag for the hospital. I see my doctor every Monday night now - and everything still looks good. The baby is head down, which we are very grateful for - but no signs of labor at this point. I can tell I'm nearing the end of pregnancy because my feet and ankles have taken on a different shape - but when I prop my feet up, my back starts to hurt a little bit - nothing major, but I can see how pretty soon I will want pregnancy to be over and life with our little one to begin.

Stan and I would appreciate your prayers for a healthy baby and a complication-free labor. We will do our best to keep you posted!

Oak Park Shower

Last Friday night, my girlfriends in Chicago threw me and baby a fun shower

I probably should have taken a picture of the food before the party started... but as you can see, we really enjoyed our chocolate fountain and all of the treats to dip in it! (Including 3 batches of rice krispie treats... these girls know me so well!)

It's hard to believe that we will soon have a little boy to wear all of these cute clothes!

Molly, friend from Purdue and part of my Women's Bible Study, made this beautiful quilt. I think I'll use it until baby is old enough to appreciate it...

Thank you girls for your friendship and a wonderful time of celebrating together!

Sarah & Ruth Fouser

I had the privilege of meeting Ruth Adiel Fouser last week and catching up with Sarah. Ruth really enjoyed our new bumbo seat - she's pretty social. I wonder where she gets that from??
