Celebrating Birthdays Benihana-style

Party hat

All of the birthday kids (more or less...)

It's like Christmas all over again!

Cassidy helping me open my first gift - fun clothes from the Gap and a cool puzzle!

Sean's reaction to Uncle J's gift? Priceless.

"I like to move it, move it!"

Legos & choo-choo's together - yeah!

My first remote control train - where has this Uncle J been all my life?

My Gram & Papa got me this awesome caboose - it has a button on top, and when I press it - it sings a song. I love it - I think everyone else loves it too!

Keystone, Colorado!

Many thanks to Stan's parents for watching Sean, allowing us an opportunity to get away for a long ski weekend. Our friend, Kim, joined us and we met up with Stan's sister and her husband once we got out there. This was Stan's & my first opportunity to ski in the Colorado Rockies and it was amazing! Apparently skiing is like riding a bike, and although I hadn't skied in about 15 years, it came back pretty quickly. I soon realized why I hadn't skied in 15 years - when my arthritis started flaring up and I couldn't walk for a couple days - but it was totally worth it! I spent day 2 reading "Confessions of a Shop-aholic" and napping - which was just about as enjoying as skiing :) And Stan took an all day lesson and was skiing down the blue runs with Kim the next day. We both had a great time - I regret not getting any pictures on the top of the mountain, but here are a few from the area we stayed.

View from our balcony!

Looking at our condo building - Silver Mill at River Run... highly recommend

Took a trip to see G.G.

Sean and I took a mid-week trip to South Dakota to see my Grandma. She hadn't seen Sean since last April - and boy has he changed a lot in the last 10 months! He quickly warmed up to G.G., as he affectionately called her, and we had a great visit.

My favorite pasttime with GG - playing on the counter with matchbox cars. Ready?

We went to a pretty park with lots of ducks and swans - Mom said we were going to visit her Grandpa and that I should only walk on the grass...

GG & Me

Rockin' out

Yeah! A police car that moves and makes noise - Thank you, Aunt Peg!

GG wondering if Sean will stay a little longer if she keeps Hobbes...

What a great trip - hope we can come back again soon!!

Reed turned 2 and I went to the zoo too!

Today I went to Reed's 2nd Birthday choo-choo party, and then my Grandma came to visit after my nap and we went to the zoo - What an awesome day!

Isn't Reed's Mom so talented? Freight train!

"Did I step in something back there?"

Grandma and I loved the polar bears - they were having lots of fun playing in the water!
