Lots of Planet Earth

I was sick for a week - it was miserable... fever from Sunday night to Saturday morning - mommy stayed home from work all week and we spent a lot of time on the couch!

Bye, Bye, Bye-ya?

So my little boy appears to be growing up - not just because he can wear sportcoats and will turn 2 in just 7 weeks - but we might soon be done with his pacifier (pronounced in sean-speake as 'bye-ya'). We didn't intend to take it away, but he had bitten through the silicone and didn't like how that felt, so he went to bed without it and did just fine - and that was last Wednesday - so we've made it through 5 nights, 5 naps, a few spills where he would want his "comforts" (our code word for his blankie hobbes, and his pacifier) - and if we can get through the next couple days while he is home sick with a fever - we might be paci-free... my baby is growing up...

OCD?

This is typical behavior for a boy right?? Sean probably spent an hour in his room the other night lining up all of his cars on the chair. One thing is certain - this boy sure loves his cars (and has a lot of them!)

MLK Weekend - Tea and Ski

We enjoyed hosting my parents and niece and nephew over MLK weekend - we all hung out together Friday night and then the boys & girls (+ Sean) went their separate ways on Saturday - the boys to Devil's Head in Wisconsin for skiing and the girls spent the day downtown at Water Tower Place shopping and having lunch at American Girl Place Chicago. Oh- and Sean went to Kim's house on Saturday - thanks, Kim!

Yeah! Gram, Papa, Cassidy & Christopher at my house!!

Chris & Papa easing down the slopes

Chris & Papa providing an obstacle for other skiers coming down the slope...

No broken bones and all smiles at the end of the day

Cassidy sipping hot cocoa at American Girl Place

The ladies enjoying a wonderful lunch - complete with appetizers, entrees, little desserts - very cute, fun & delicious!

See a family resemblance, anyone?

All of us in our matching scarves - lucky to have a Mom/Gram that works at Hancock!

Sean definitely has a sweet spot for Cassidy - and was still saying her name "Cas -si- dy" (with a pout I might add) several days after she had left...
