Part 1: Door County

We decided to take our first family vacation to Door County, Wisconsin. Stan and I came up here a few years ago and really loved the area. We rented a cottage in Fish Creek and spent a lot of time strolling, driving, reading, eating cherries (Stan), and finishing each day with ice cream.

Mom & Sean chillin on the front porch

All the walking wore me out!

My first drive-in...

Who knew there were restaurants with goats on the roof eating grass??

And Sean was thinking... "mmm... milk..."

And Stan was thinking... "mmm... cherries..."

Looks like Sean picked up some cherries for his Dad...

My first time in a big pool!

Time to chill on the side of the pool with mom for a bit...

Hiking to a lookout tower on Washington Island

Some call me "cheeky" - but I just don't see it.... do you?

Sean's first boat ride - took the ferry to Washington Island

Riding the ferry back... time for ice cream now?

Part 2: Minnesota/South Dakota/Wisconsin

Partway through our vacation, we received the news that my Uncle Doug passed away. He had been battling lung cancer for 3 months - and although we are so sad to see him go, we are glad that he is not suffering anymore and resting in heavenly arms. It was good to spend this time with family - and Sean brought joy wherever he went - including a gigglefest Friday night. He was laughing so hard he could hardly recover - and it was good medicine for us all at such a sad time.

Spent the night with Uncle Grant (not pictured) & Aunt Ilene in Minnetonka on the way to Grandma's. My cousin, Audra, was there too with her 2 kids: Caroline & Grant

Mom, how can I focus on eating with all of these beautiful faces smiling at me??

Indoor pool time with Daddy...
"I think I like this, but dad, can you lay off all this 'Michael Phelps is your goal' stuff? It is a lot of pressure for a young guy!"

Ahhh, that's what I'm talking about...

We had quite an adventure!

Mom unpacks, while boys fall asleep.... vacation is over...

My boy...

What a sweet boy!

Dinosaurs make "tummy time" better...

I've been going to mom's pilates class. I believe they call this move the teaser...

I've got an idea I'd like to share with you...

Looking tough
