18-Month Stats
Sean has his 18-month check-up last week and is doing great! He weighs 28 pounds (77%) and is 35" tall (97%) - We've moved up to Size 5 diapers and most of the clothes we are buying him now are 24 months/2T. He's a big boy, but if you haven't seen him for awhile, you'll start to notice that he is stretching out a little bit!
Sean is a huge mimic these days - trying to repeat what we say and what we do - it is very fun to watch. His walking is coming along very well - we have had a few face plants, but I guess that comes with the territory. He loves to have his shoes on... even if he is only in his diaper :)
Sean's favorite foods: Oatmeal, bananas, yogurt, pizza, chicken nuggets, apples, taco meat, granola bars, black beans, black olives, crackers, muffins, scrambled eggs with green peppers
Sean's favorite activities: Pushing buttons (elevators, doorbells & handicap door buttons are his favorites), building and knocking down towers (towies), playing with cars, throwing balls (and other things!), putting things in the trash can, flushing the toilet, extreme splashing in the bathtub, throwing rocks in our neighbor's fountain, saying hi to everyone at the store, and being outside whether he is in the stroller or walking alongside. He is a fun kid to be around.
Sean's dislikes: brushing his teeth and clipping his fingernails.
Newest tricks: Shaking his head 'no' when we ask him a question, building up his repertoire of animal sounds, saying "eeeww" when I change his diaper, stomping one foot to the music, and he even knows how to "raise the roof" (we do a lot of dancing in the car...). His comprehension these days also amazes me. I ask him to do something or go somewhere and he does it! It is so nice to be understood!
Sean might also break a record for the number or funerals/visitations he's been too in his short life. That number climbed to 6 this past month as we lost Grace Fister, who was like another Grandma to Stan growing up, and my dear colleague, Shelly Allen. We praise God for these women, for their faith in Christ and for the ways they enriched our lives.

Some New Links + Greyhouse Endorsement
I added a few more links to our blog today. I would like to think of myself as fairly computer/tech savvy - but I am quite proud of myself for editing html code. I added a few more friends' pages to the right and also added a link to the amazing Greyhouse Coffee & Supply Co. If you are ever close to Purdue - you need to stop by this place. The atmosphere is comfortable & cozy, the food is delicious, amazing coffee & teas, earth friendly business practices, high-speed, free internet - and overall, it is just a bright spot in the heart of campus. Many props to those involved in the creation and implementation of such a fantastic gathering place. And praise God for keeping all of their families intact during all of those long summer days (and nights!) Well done.
