Our Christmas
This doesn't quite beat my locked out of the house in the pajamas story, but it is a good mental picture none-the-less.
I took the kids shopping today, and we were doing pretty good until we left Borders, and I realized that Sean would need a diaper change before we went home in case he fell asleep. So I'm changing Sean in the back of the Jeep, in the rain, and Addison starts crying. I can't put Sean's pants back on because they are soaked because he spilled water down the front of them, so now he is wearing a coat and boots --but no pants. I wipe away some boogers and now his nose starts bleeding! To top it off - Stan took him to the zoo yesterday and he still has black circles painted around his eyes (see photo below). So from bottom to top, picture: boots, no pants, diaper, coat, bloody nose, racoon eyes and tears - he now looks like he's been in a fight and a bully took his pants. As I finally console him and get him into his car seat, his red balloon flies out the window and escapes into the clouds and Sean mutters "I want to go home."
"Me too, Sean. Me too." And he is snoring before we even get out of the parking lot.
