Venetian Night

One of our favorite festivals of the year is Venetian Night - this year was the 50th anniversary of Venetian Night, which is comprised of a boat parade and the best fireworks of the year. This was Sean's first experience downtown (outside of a car) - first festival - and his first encounter with fireworks - I must say that I think he really enjoyed it all!

Chillin before the parade

Look at the tall buildings & boats!

Is that the Sears Tower in the background? When do I get to go to the top, dad?

Group shot: It appears Reed has Sean by the bib...

The following photos were all taken by Luciano (pictured bottom right) - didn't he do a great job? He should really consider doing it for a living...

Many thanks to Maura!

This summer, Maura watched Sean while I went back to work part-time. As you can tell from the photo - Sean really enjoyed his time with her!

Still on the charts!

Sean had his 4 month well-being check-up this morning. I am proud to announce that my baby is still on the charts and making As - 96th percentile for both height and weight. He's 27" long and weighs 18lbs, 3 oz. It is hard to believe that this is the boy we brought home from the hospital!

Four months later, our boy has stretched out 7" and gained over 11 pounds! Sean is enjoying sitting up (with props), likes to grab things and pull them to his mouth, and he smiles, talks & sings a lot (even some of his crying sounds like singing!) The only things Sean does not like to do is be on his tummy - so that was our homework from the doctor today - start working those arm muscles... but he took his shots like a champ and now Mom & Sean have a lunch date with Sarah Fouser and her 8-month old, Ruth.

Praise God for a healthy & happy baby!

Trips to Indy

Justin & Dyan get to meet Sean for the first time - unfortunately they both came back to the States feeling a little sick. Not knowing what kind of Darwinian flu they could have picked up while traveling in the Galapagos, this is a picture of J & Dyan "holding" Sean.

Sean with his favorite babysitter/cousin

Getting ready to go to my Uncle's country club... do I look the part?

Swimming at the club

Albeit a little late, Stan and I are enjoying our anniversary tradition of ordering an almond pound truffle cake from the bakery that made our wedding cake - This June we celebrated 6 years!

What a pair!

Life is good.

Wanna have a staring contest??

Fun Photos from July

I love to grab things now and shove them in my mouth - I especially like eating my puppy

Getting ready for a little snooze with mom's blanket - I like to put it right up against my cheek

Shhhh... Don't tell my Dad

Some of my favorite photos...

Splish Splash

Getting ready for my first dip in the baby pool

Mom & Sean in Grandma Sara's backyard

I think I like this...

I like chillin under this blow-up canopy... how fancy...

Hmmm... maybe I liked it better in my chair...

Oh, this part is fun!

First Soccer Game

Getting ready for my first Chicago Fire Soccer game - how do I look?

Sean & Reed chillin in the stadium

"Hey Sean, do you want to start our own soccer team? We could take these guys..."

Fathers de Chow!

For their first Father's Day, Kara had the idea of treating our men to Fogo de Chao - a Brazilian restaurant that serves 16 different kinds of meat .... if done 'right' - you can literally get drunk on meat. I think our new dads definitely got their money worth!

Sean's practicing - I'm ready for some filet!

95% his daddy...

Looked at some pictures this past weekend of Stan as a baby, which just confirmed what we already knew... Sean is all his daddy...
